1. The 17th Annual Staff Recognition Reception will take place on WEdnesday, November 18, at 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM at the Nittany Lion Inn, Boardroom.  This reception recognizes the winners of the 2009 Staff Awards.   

2.  The Eberly College of Science Staff Advisory Committee is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2009 Staff Awards!
AND THE WINNERS ARE...

Creativity Award.....................................................Phil Stemple, Chemistry
Customer Service Awards........................................Jean Brooks, BMB
Leadership Award....................................................Kathy Smith, Physics
Research Staff Support Award..................................Denise Patton, Physics (MRSEC)
Research Technical Support Award...........................Russ Rogers, Chemistry

Each recipient will receive a check in the amount of $250 and an engraved Nittany Lion Statue. The award winners will also have his/her name engraved and placed on the "ECOS Staff Awards" plaque that hangs outside of the Dean's Office (517 Thomas). Winners will receive their awards at the 17th Annual Staff Recognition Reception, which will be held at the Nittany Lion Inn, on Wednesday, November 18th. The reception will be held in the Boardroom, 2:30-4pm.

We had a fantastic showing of support for the staff in the College of Science this year, with over 28 nominations being submitted! The Staff Advisory Committee would like to thank all of you who nominated someone and for sending in your letters of support. We especially would like to thank our external evaluators for their involvement with the voting process this year!
