Welcome to the Penn State Eberly College of Science at University Park. The College offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs in the basic sciences. At the undergraduate level, there are programs in the physical sciences (Astronomy and Astrophysics, Chemistry, Physics), the mathematical sciences (Mathematics, Statistics), and the biological sciences (Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology) as well as interdisciplinary programs (Science, Premedicine, Forensic Science, Science BS/MBA). Each program has an undergraduate program officer who is most willing to discuss his/her respective major with interested students. The College offers many academic opportunities that expand and enrich students’ formal classroom experiences. These include Career and International Programs, undergraduate research, "Take a Professor to Lunch", and student clubs and organizations. One of the College’s highest priorities is maximizing the academic potential of each student. To help meet this priority the College maintains an Office of Minority Programs, which provides invaluable assistance to minority students pursuing degrees in science and an Academic Advising Center, a professionally-staffed unit to which any students in the College can go to receive advice on academic questions or problems. Additionally, there are many resources for students on how to maximize their academic success. The Eberly College of Science is internationally recognized for its cutting edge research, its quality and innovative instruction, its dedicated award winning faculty, and its motivated and highly qualified students. Welcome to the Eberly College of Science family.
