
20 September 2007—A free public lecture titled "Trace Evidence Examination" will be given on 1 October 2007 by Nicholas Petraco, a criminalist and assistant professor with the John Jay College of the City University of New York. The lecture will begin at 12:20 p.m. in room 113 of the Information Sciences and Technology building on the Penn State University Park Campus. Petraco will share his experience with the New York City Police Department as a forensic trace-evidence analyst in one of the nation's largest cities. He will explain how trace evidence is used to solve various crimes.
