Welcome and thank you for your interest in Penn State's Eberly College of Science Cooperative Education Program.
The Cooperative Education Program (Co-op) allows students to integrate academics with relevant work experience through multiple semesters of work and study. Co-op students apply classroom knowledge to a real-life work situation, allowing them to gain experience to help them make more informed decisions about their futures.
Co-op provides employers with a number of benefits: bright young people, fresh from an educational environment, with refreshing and stimulating new ideas and viewpoints; an excellent source of temporary, and potentially permanent, employees; increased company visibility upon the students' return to campus. We hope the information on this site will provide you with a better understanding of the benefits of co-op, whether you are an employer or an Eberly College of Science student.
