Externship

Externships are designed to provide first-year and sophomore science students with observational experiences (1-4 days) with a professional at their place of work, experiencing a "day in the life" of the host's career. Through the Externship Program, unpaid student externs "shadow" individuals at work, take tours of the work place and job sites, and/or work on small projects for the organization. These experiences will assist you in gaining an understanding of the scope of daily responsibilities included in various careers in science.

Externships are being coordinated for May 12-23, 2008, with an application deadline of March 28, 2008. For more information, please review the guidelines provided in the forms below.
