Mr. Henry McCoullum
Executive Assistant to the Dean
Eberly College of Science

Welcome to the Eberly College of Science (ECOS) and the Office of Science Diversity Programs.   As Executive Assistant to the Dean of the College, it is a special pleasure for me to join Dean Larson in welcoming you to ECOS.  As Director of the ECOS Office of Science Diversity Programs, it is also a privilege to invite you to participate in our efforts to promote a nurturing climate for all members of the ECOS community, to advance the representation of diverse communities in those extraordinary academic disciplines representative of ECOS educational programs, and to experience the curricular and co-curricular programs sponsored by the College and the Office of Science Diversity Programs.

I know that you will find your experiences in ECOS, including your interactions with students, faculty members, and staff, experiences that will advance your personal aspirations as well the diversity of scientists in the College, in the United States, and in the global scientific community.  In particular, I believe that you will find that our ECOS diversity programming has an additional focus on practices that support the experience of the individual to achieve academic success in an environment that, additionally, strengthens the overlap between what goes on in resident instruction with what takes place outside of the classroom.

We invite you to discover more about us by participating in the programs that are linked to this website.  In particular, we encourage

you to participate in the “Take a Faculty Member to Lunch” program,

the ECOS Climate and Diversity Committee, and those other important

initiatives listed on our website.
