The Office of Science Diversity Initiatives operates in conjunction with the Office of the Associate Dean for Resident Instruction. The Office of Science Diversity Initiatives provides services for students, faculty, and staff in the Eberly College of Science to promote diversity within the University.

The Science Diversity Initiatives Program Office develops and advocates practical strategies for the inclusion of underrepresented groups and women in the academic and administrative units of the Eberly College of Science. Activities include formation of multidisciplinary collaborative programs for the retention and recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students of color and women; dissemination of information to support best practices, coordinate diversity projects and initiatives, expand corporate and public networks including private and non-profit organizations who and support and fund diversity activities, assist with placement of students in graduate and professional programs of study.
