Welcome to the Eberly College of Science!
This web site is intended as a resource for new faculty of the Eberly College of Science (ECoS). There is so much for incoming faculty to learn about, such as issues around teaching, research, safety, student supervision, employment policies, and a whole host of things that are not specifically work-related. Answers to questions are available somewhere, but in scattered and sometimes difficult-to-find locations. Our ultimate purpose is to put all the information together in one place. We hope you will bookmark this site and come back to it often.
Please don't be intimidated by the enormity of the information presented. You will never need to know all of this and certainly not all at the beginning of your appointment. The site is here for you to refer to, to help you know what questions you need to ask, and to save you hours of time surfing the web to find the answers.
This is a web site run by faculty for faculty. Your comments and suggestions are more than just welcome - they are needed to make the project work. We need to have continued guidance on what to add, suggestions for improvements, and general comments. Please send your thoughts to Dr. Karin Foley, Associate Dean, Eberly College of Science .

If you can't find what you need or don't understand what is here, we suggest that you contact the faculty mentor assigned to you in your department. If you are unsure of who that is, contact your department head.
